Raw cave eels are fish that require a Fishing level of 38 to be caught and grants 80 fishing experience per catch, as well as a Cooking level of 38 to be cooked; doing so turns it into a cave eel. They can be used with Giant frog legs on the life altar in Creature Creation to make a frogeel.

They can be caught with a Fishing rod and bait in the Lumbridge Swamp Caves, the Dorgesh-Kaan South Dungeon, and the Ruins of Camdozaal.

Cave eels or slimy eels are the primary ingredients in the popular Dorgeshuun dish eel sushi. The eel is presumably served raw and wrapped in swamp weed. However, the dish cannot be made by the player. It is also a possible item needed to obtain the magic secateurs in Fairytale I - Growing Pains.

It is recommended to bring extra fishing bait when catching these in case raw slimy eel is caught instead.

Dorgesh-Kaan South Dungeon: Requires Death to the Dorgeshuun, as well as a suitable light source. Players can also net fish for frog spawn.
Lumbridge Swamp Caves: Requires a suitable light source. Players can also net fish for frog spawn.
Ruins of Camdozaal: Requires Below Ice Mountain
