The fletching knife is an equippable version of a knife obtained as reward from the Vale Totems minigame. It can be found at a rate of 1/333.3 while rummaging through Vale offerings or purchased from Ranulph's Vale Research Exchange for 350 research points. Spare fletching knives can be exchanged for 175 Vale research points.

The fletching knife reduces the time to complete various Fletching actions by 1 tick for all but the first item being fletched. For example, fletching unstrung bows becomes a 2-tick action instead of a 3-tick action, meaning that approximately 2,700 bows can be fletched per hour instead of 1,800. This effect is active whether it is in the inventory or equipped in the off-hand slot, though the wielder will still need a knife in their inventory to use on logs to initiate the cutting.

It can also perform most functions of a regular knife such as cutting food items, slashing webs, and setting up Hunter traps (including while equipped). It cannot be used to fletch wooden blowpipes. Due to the first item being cut with the normal speed, the fletching knife cannot be used to speed up tick manipulation.

Bug:

When fletching a set of logs into arrow shafts with the fletching knife, both the first and second logs are fletched at the normal speed, i.e. as 3-tick actions, instead of only the first log. This is not the case with any other fletching actions.
