Elite Black Knights are elite units among the Kinshra who reside in the Black Knight Catacombs. They are much more powerful than regular black knights and utilise protection prayers; as such, using two combat styles is required. Additionally they have 7 Flat armour, which means they take -7 damage from non-Magic attacks made against them.

In addition to using protection prayers, they effectively have 99 Prayer points, and they lose prayer points equal to the attack speed of your weapon each time you attack them. Their prayer can also be drained via methods like Smite, Saradomin Strike, and sapphire bolts (e). Once their prayer has been completely drained, they can no longer use protection prayers.

If out of combat for too long, the knights will reset, restoring their Hitpoints and Prayer while also clearing any status effects such as poison.

Elite Black Knights count as 12 black knight kills for the purpose of accessing the White Knight Armoury.

Bugs:

When the knights have a protection prayer up, attacking them does not make them lose prayer points equal to the attack speed of your weapon as intended.

• The corruption effect from corruption spells cannot be applied to them.
