Dry sticks are the result of using broken glass on damp sticks. They are used in the Sea Slug quest to light a torch on the Fishing Platform. They can be kept after the quest, and with 30 Firemaking can be used at any time to light a torch by selecting the "rub-together" option. Unlike a tinderbox, clicking to use the sticks on an unlit torch has no effect.

Success
- You rub together the dry sticks and the sticks catch alight.
- You place the smouldering twigs to your torch.
- Your torch lights.
Failure
- You rub together the dry sticks and the sticks smoke momentarily then die out.
Without 30 Firemaking
- You rub together the dry sticks but nothing happens. You need a Firemaking level of 30 or above.
