The crystal trinket is a reward from Arianwyn after completing Mourning's End Part II. It is used to enter the Temple of Light after the quest. For players who have not completed Song of the Elves, this also requires mourner gear or a slayer ring since the entrance is via the Mourner headquarters' basement in West Ardougne. Players will still need the trinket after completing Song of the Elves.
If players lose it, they can obtain another from Arianwyn in Lletya. During and after Song of the Elves, it is instead found in a chest on the east side of the ground floor in Lletya in the main building.
If you try to enter the temple after completing the quest without the trinket, players will be bounced back and get the message "A strange force blocks your path." This is not necessary when crafting death runes through the Abyss, the Underground Pass, or through Guardians of the Rift.
