The Arkan blade is a one-handed melee weapon requiring 60 Attack to wield. Belonging to Prince Itzla's grandfather,[1] it is obtained from him as a reward for completing The Final Dawn.
It has 64 strength bonus, comparable in strength to the dragon scimitar's 66, but with a slightly raised slash bonus of 70 compared to 67, and a vastly higher stab bonus of 55 compared to 8.
If lost, the blade can be reclaimed from Prince Itzla at the Sunrise Palace for 250,000 coins. It is currently not possible to obtain multiple blades, as any dropped blades are deleted upon repurchasing, despite losing the coins. If lost in a PvP death, it is converted into 250,000 coins for the killer.

Special attack
The Arkan blade has a special attack, Flames of Ralos, which consumes 30% of the player's special attack energy. The special attack deals 1 hit with 50% increased accuracy and damage. Additionally, if the attack is successful, it will apply a strong burn effect to the target, dealing 10 damage over 40 ticks (24 seconds). Flames of Ralos rolls against the opponent's slash defence roll.
Like other burn effects, this effect stacks with each use and with other burns. For example, using the special attack 3 times will have the victim burning for 3 damage at a time, if all 3 attacks are successful.

Trivia
- When pitched in the poll blog, the item's name was simply "New melee weapon", due to the weapon's true identity (the Arkan family's heirloom sword)[2] being so much of a spoiler that the name had to be redacted entirely.[3]
