Alan's bones

Alan's bones are the remains of what was once Alan the tourist, which are obtainable after the completion of the Scrambled! quest.

There are a number of unique interactions with Alan's bones:

• Can be blessed at the exposed altar to turn them into Alan's blessed bones
• Can be given to Rosie at the South Falador farm, Floki north of Land's End, Molossus, Lola, and Xolo in Varlamore, or stray dogs in Varrock. Doing so yields the chat messages You give the dog Alan's bones. followed by It happily gnaws on them, but something feels wrong about all of this.
• Can be used to distract the dog in The Final Dawn. Doing so yields the message "The dog takes Alan's bones. Something doesn't feel quite right about this, but the dog seems happy enough. He quickly calms down and gives your hand a little lick."
• Can be crushed using the bone grinder into Alan's bonemeal.
• Can be fed to your puppy after completing A Ruff Situation. Doing so brings up a chat interface with the message "Are you sure you wish to feed your puppy alan's bones?" followed by a No or Yes selection. Selecting no yields a chat message "It would feel wrong to do so". Selecting yes yields a chat interface message "You feed your puppy alan's bones. Something feels wrong about all of this."

Should the player be in possession of the Bonecrusher or its necklace variant at the time of quest completion, the bones will be automatically buried; It is important to make sure neither of these items are on their person as Alan dies, should the player desire to keep them.

• Although not a unique interaction, Alan's bones can be turned into a banana or a peach with the Bones to Bananas or Bones to Peaches spells.
• Alan's bones may also be used on the jar of decay, disintegrating them.
• Alan's bones restore one Prayer point when buried in the Catacombs of Kourend.
• Alan's bones cannot be used to open the tomb doors during the Shilo Village quest.
• Alan's bones cannot be used by Eblis to create the mirrors during the Desert Treasure I quest.
