SKILLINGHIGH ATTENTION

Wilderness gathering

Gather high-value resources in PvP territory. Black chinchompas are the flagship method, but the same risk controls apply to Wilderness resource routes.

REQUIREMENT

Method-dependent; black chinchompas require 73 Hunter

BEFORE YOU START

Requirements

Hard requirements and unlocks that materially change the method.

INVENTORY

Set up the method

  • Bring only disposable or protected equipment and enough box traps for your Hunter level
  • Use player indicators, entity hider settings that preserve player visibility, and sound cues within game rules
  • Carry a one-click teleport that works at the Wilderness level where you plan to use it
  • Disable attack options that can skull you accidentally and understand current skull-prevention settings

STEP BY STEP

Run the method

  1. 1Scout the route and hunting area before committing supplies. Note nearby players, combat bracket, and escape direction.
  2. 2Place the allowed number of box traps and reset successful or failed traps immediately.
  3. 3Keep the camera wide and inventory value visible. Do not let efficiency clicks override player detection.
  4. 4When another player appears, prioritise the preplanned escape over picking up one more trap or catch.
  5. 5Bank at the fixed catch count or value cap even when the world appears quiet, then return with the same minimal-risk inventory.

DETAILS

Mechanics that matter

Black chinchompas

They require 73 Hunter and grant 315 Hunter experience per catch. Because chinchompas are living stackable creatures, the stack is lost if you die, making frequent banking essential.

Teleport limits

Many instant teleports stop working above level 20 or level 30 Wilderness. Verify the exact item's restriction and your hunting tile before relying on it.

Skulling

Skulling changes protected-item behavior. Use the game's skull-prevention option, but still bring a loadout whose loss you can absorb.

Escape economics

Banking lowers theoretical catches per hour but limits expected death loss. The best interval depends on encounter rate, escape success, and inventory value.

YOUR EDGE

Survival discipline is part of the method. Small, repeatable banks outperform one greedy inventory lost to a preventable attack.

WATCH FOR

No world, time, or scout makes the Wilderness safe. Mechanics and teleport restrictions can change; verify them before risking gear.
