BEFORE YOU START
Requirements
Hard requirements and unlocks that materially change the method.
- Dragon Slayer II completed
- Dragonfire protection from equipment plus the correct potion; never rely on one layer alone
- A way to cure venom, restore prayer, and teleport out
- Crumble Undead runes or a Slayer's staff set to autocast it for the zombified spawn
- Strongly recommended: Salve amulet (ei) for ranged or Salve amulet (e) for melee; it does not stack with a Slayer helmet
INVENTORY
Set up the method
- ✓Travel to Rellekka, speak to Torfinn on the northern dock, then poke the sleeping Vorkath to begin
- ✓Use Protect from Missiles with a dragonfire shield crossbow setup; use Protect from Magic with a lance and defender setup
- ✓Bring extended super antifire where required by the loadout, anti-venom+, prayer restoration, combat potion, food, and a one-click teleport
- ✓Turn run off for the acid phase. Keep the camera fixed and reserve a clear line of tiles before waking Vorkath
STEP BY STEP
Run the method
- 1Pre-pot, verify antifire and anti-venom timers, activate the correct protection prayer, then wake Vorkath.
- 2Attack normally while counting Vorkath's attacks. Move at least two tiles when the orange fireball is launched; standing still can be fatal.
- 3After six normal attacks, handle the special. Specials alternate between zombified spawn and acid pools after the first random special.
- 4For zombified spawn, stop attacking Vorkath immediately and cast Crumble Undead on the spawn before it reaches you.
- 5For acid, turn run off and walk continuously along a clear line without reversing onto the tile you just occupied. Only attack during this phase if you can Woox walk reliably.
- 6After the special, re-engage and restart the six-attack count. Cure venom promptly and eat during movement or downtime where possible.
- 7At the kill, loot quickly. Continue only if antifire, venom protection, prayer, food, and ammunition support another complete kill; otherwise teleport and bank.

DETAILS
Mechanics that matter
Normal attacks
Vorkath uses magic, ranged, melee when in range, dragonfire, venom dragonfire, prayer-disabling dragonfire, and a high-damage vertical fireball. Restore prayer immediately after the pink projectile and move at least two tiles for the fireball.
Attack cycle
Vorkath performs six normal attacks followed by one special attack. The two specials alternate after the initial choice, allowing you to anticipate the next mechanic.
Zombified spawn
Vorkath freezes you and launches a spawn. Stop attacking so your queued attack does not delay the cast, then use Crumble Undead. The spawn explodes on contact and can deal lethal damage.
Acid phase
Acid pools cover the arena while rapid fire travels toward your recent position. Walk—do not run—through an uninterrupted lane. Running skips tiles and makes pathing more likely to cross acid.
Woox walking
Advanced players alternate attacking and stepping away during acid to preserve damage. Learn the safe walking lane first; failed Woox walks cost more than the saved seconds.
Death and recovery
The arena uses a deathbank. Torfinn charges 100,000 coins to return stored items. Dying again before reclaiming can destroy items left in the deathbank, so reclaim immediately.
REAL RETURNS
Calculate your profit
- Net per trip = loot − ammunition − potion doses − food − weapon charges − death reclaim costs.
- Record kills per hour only from bank departure to the next bank return; excluding travel and banking inflates the result.
- Vorkath has consistent standard loot but rare drops still add variance. Evaluate at least 50–100 kills and track deaths separately.
The real upgrade is mechanical consistency: count six attacks, know the next special, and bank before supplies become marginal.
The vertical fireball, spawn, and bad acid pathing are the main run-enders. Do not attempt another kill without full protection timers and an emergency teleport.
