The trapdoor is a pickable entrance to the H.A.M. Hideout, located in the ruins between Lumbridge and Draynor Village. Successfully pick-locking the trapdoor will grant the player 4 experience in Thieving. Unsuccessful attempts will occasionally grant the player 1 experience. Failing to pick the lock on the trapdoor will numb the player's fingers, decreasing their Thieving level by 1 every time. A lockpick will increase the player's chance of success.
It is possible to use tick manipulation to unlock the trapdoor faster, saving up to 5 ticks, which can be useful for pickpocketing H.A.M. members.

The chance of successfully unlocking the trapdoor increases for every failed attempt from 4% at level 1 and 98% at level 99 without a lockpick, and 24% at level 1 and 99% at level 99 with a lockpick.[1]
