Thralls are undead beings which can be summoned to attack enemies.

Overview

Thralls are summoned with resurrection spells in the Arceuus spellbook, which requires completion of A Kingdom Divided. In addition to the required Magic level and runes, the player must have the Book of the Dead either wielded or in their inventory, along with 2-6 prayer points in order to summon a thrall.

The impish whistle can be used to unlock a cosmetic override for thralls, giving them the appearances of imps.

Thralls notably always deal successful hits, with the damage roll ranging from 0-3 depending on the tier of spell used, as well as ignoring the flat armour stat. This makes them fairly powerful allies for prolonged encounters, speed-based Combat Achievements, and places where magic spells (not including powered staves) are not needed.

Thralls have an attack speed of 4, or once every 2.4 seconds. Skeletal and Ghostly thralls have an attack range of 6, with the distance reduced by 1 when attacking from the defending NPC's south or west side. It may be inferred that the attack range is calculated using the distance from the south-west corner of the thrall, to the north-east corner of the defending NPC, repeated for every tile occupied by the defending NPC.

Thralls cannot attack other players. Damage dealt by the thrall counts as damage dealt by the player that summoned it.

The magic thralls' projectiles will hit enemies 1-2 ticks earlier (depending on distance) than the ranged thralls. Therefore, magic thralls are preferred whenever there are no special type resistances. Some bosses, however, such as The Hueycoatl, have blue-coloured attacks to dodge, so the ranged thrall can be preferable as to not be confused with or masking away a dangerous tile, as he is yellow.

Thralls will remain for a set amount of time (0.6*CurrentMagicLevel seconds (i.e. 1 tick per level)), or twice as long after claiming the Master Combat Achievements rewards. There is a ten second cooldown before the player can cast another resurrection spell, although the current thrall will despawn in the process.

As the thrall's duration is dependent on the player's Magic level, boosting it will subsequently increase the thrall's duration:

112 67.2 seconds 134.4 seconds
120 72 seconds 144 seconds
125 75 seconds 150 seconds

Thralls cannot pass between rooms (for example, a thrall summoned in the Corporeal Beast lobby will remain there even when the player enters the Beast's arena and attacks it)

Thralls cannot be resurrected at the following locations:
