Thormac is a sorcerer who can be found at the top of his home; the Sorcerer's Tower, found south of Seers' Village. Players must speak to him to begin the Scorpion Catcher quest.
After completing the quest, he can perform a service for players which will enchant a battlestaff into a mystic staff. This service costs 40,000 coins. The price is reduced to 30,000 coins if the player has completed the Hard Kandarin Diary, or 20,000 if the player has completed the Elite Kandarin Diary.
He can also be accessed by entering the West portal on the 2nd floor[UK]3rd floor[US] of the Wizards' Guild.
Mystic Staves
After the completion of the Scorpion Catcher quest, Thormac can perform a service for players which will enchant a battlestaff into a Mystic staff. This enhances the melee and magic bonuses of the staff. Mystic staves have an increased requirement of 40 Magic and 40 Attack to wield.
This service requires the player bring a battlestaff of the type the player wants and 40,000 coins. The price is reduced to 30,000 coins if the player has completed the Hard Kandarin Diary, or 20,000 if the player has completed the Elite Kandarin Diary.

Trivia
- He wears an amulet that looks very much like a gnome amulet, crystal pendant, or Glarial's amulet.
- The staff he wields is unique and not available to players. Its orb makes the staff look similar to the one held by Clivet, but Thormac's staff is straight and dark blue, while Clivet's is crooked and black.
- Thormac will give the player a scorpion cage before the quest confirmation screen appears, so it's possible to own one without starting Scorpion Catcher.
