Sand pit

Sand pits are mostly used in glassblowing to train Crafting. Sand pits are located in Entrana, Yanille, Rellekka, Dorgesh-Kaan, Prifddinas, Zanaris, Sunset Coast, and The Great Conch.

Molten glass that can be blown with Glassblowing pipe is made by using Soda ash and a bucket of sand with a Furnace. Buckets of sand can be obtained simply by using an empty bucket on a sand pit. Soda ash can be obtained by burning Seaweed on a Range or a fire.

If the player has completed The Hand in the Sand quest then the player can get Bert to deliver 84 buckets of sand directly to the player's bank account daily (by asking directly). Doing this is a requirement for the Medium Ardougne Diary. Ultimate ironmen may instead fill a bucket at Bert's sand pit to meet this requirement, you may need to use the official Runescape client for the achievement to register.

In the Enlightened Journey quest the player needs a sandbag. It can be obtained by using a sack with a sandpit.

The sand pit in Prifddinas is closest to a bank, but requires completion of Song of the Elves. The pit on The Great Conch is the second closest, but requires 45 Sailing and partial completion of Troubled Tortugans. The pit in Zanaris is the third closest and unlocked by completing Lost City. The Yanille sand pit is a good alternative for those that lack the quest requirements.
