The prototype dart is a quest item made during the Tourist Trap quest. It is made by smithing a prototype dart tip on an experimental anvil that is not visible on the Minimap. 10 Fletching experience is given after attaching the feather.

Should the player have a spare (via the drop trick) and speak to Al Shabim (after the quest section is complete or after completing the quest), he will confiscate the item and exclaim: Where did you get this from Effendi! I'll have to confiscate this for your own safety!

Creation chance

The chance of successfully attaching feathers depends on your Fletching level.[1]
