Paddewwa (also spelled “Padewwa” in one source) was a settlement of the Zarosian Empire. It was destroyed during the God Wars.
History
Little is known of Paddewwa. It was likely established in the Second Age when the empire expanded across Gielinor. Geographically, it was located in what is now modern-day Edgeville and Edgeville Dungeon. Prior to the Betrayal of Zaros, Viggora fought many battles at Paddewwa.[1]
During the God Wars, it was assaulted by a large Bandosian force led by General Graardor.[2][3] Although the results of that battle are unknown, Paddewwa was ultimately destroyed at some point during the Third Age.
The ruins of Paddewwa persisted into the Fifth Age, where it was referred to by the humans of Misthalin as Ghost Town. In the year 169, King Roald of Varrock had the town renovated, and renamed it to Edgeville.[4]
The Paddewwa Teleport on the Ancient Magicks spellbook teleports players to the Edgeville Dungeon, while the Ancient Magicks Home Teleport transports players to Edgeville, just north of the remaining Paddewwa ruins.
