Ogre comp bow

The comp ogre bow was released with the quest Zogre Flesh Eaters and is made by using a knife on an achey tree logs with wolf bones in a player's inventory to create an unstrung comp bow, which can then be strung with a bow string to create the finished bow. This requires 30 Fletching, and grants 45 experience. This is the only composite bow that can be made through the Fletching skill. It can fire any type of brutal arrow, as well as ogre arrows.

When compared to the normal ogre bow, the comp bow has the same attack bonus and a faster attack speed, but a shorter range. It requires 30 Ranged to wield.

In order to equip this bow, players must first speak with Grish after reaching a certain point in the Zogre Flesh Eaters (before the final battle).

Players can select the "Check kills" option on the ogre bow or comp ogre bow to check how many chompy birds they have killed in the Chompy bird hunting activity, to see if they qualify for a Chompy bird hat. After scratching 100,000 notches on a comp ogre bow, there will be no more space to continue tracking chompy kills.^[1]

The Void Knight equipment set's accuracy bonuses do stack with the Ogre bow, however, the damage bonus does not get applied.^[2] Because of this, wearing offensive ranged armour such as black dragonhide armour is much more effective when hunting chompies.
