Key (Tree Gnome Village Dungeon)

The key is an item found in the Tree Gnome Village Dungeon. Prior to starting the Roving Elves quest, it can be found in a crate in the north-east storeroom, among the south-east group of crates. It opens the door to the jail, found north-west of the dungeon entrance. The crate can be searched for another key if the player loses it. It cannot be stored on a Steel key ring.

Note that if a player has a low combat level, they will likely receive damage from the surrounding monsters whilst searching the crates for the key.

The key is first used during the Waterfall Quest. The key is needed to unlock the door to the jail where the gnome named Golrie is hiding from hobgoblins that have invaded the dungeon. Once the door is unlocked, Golrie will let the player take Glarial's pebble, which is required to enter Glarial's Tomb near Baxtorian Falls.

The key may also be needed during The Path of Glouphrie quest, as the player may need to access the jail again to speak to Golrie to acquire information about a device. The key is not needed if the player has started Roving Elves, as Golrie has traded places with the hobgoblins and is no longer located behind the locked door.

After the player has started Roving Elves, the key is no longer obtainable via searching the crate and can be re-obtained by speaking to Golrie.
