Adding the slices gives the message You add the banana slices to the Karamjan rum.. It will be confiscated by the customs officer just like regular Karamjan rum, but will not be destroyed by teleportation, entering Mor Ul Rek, or setting sail. Attempting to put the rum with banana in the crate near Luthas will give the message Pirates don't usually take sliced banana with their Karamjan rum..
