Elite black armour is a set of armour requiring 40 Defence to equip, obtained from killing Elite Black Knights. A set is guaranteed while killing the knights, and another set can be pilfered in the inner section of the base, though one of these is eventually given away to Silif. Further pieces can be obtained afterwards by killing more Elite Black Knights. They can be stored in the armour case of the costume room in a player-owned house.

They have defensive stats equivalent to the Initiate armour, but the same prayer bonus as Proselyte armour. They can also be used to enter the Black Knights' Fortress.

The set pieces count as Zamorak affiliated items for the God Wars Dungeon.

As the armour set is not lost on death in the Wilderness, but instead sent to the player's gravestone, it is commonly used over Proselyte armour or monk's robes when fighting bosses there.

There are no set bonuses when wearing all three components of the elite black armour. However, players who wear the full set can negate the aggressiveness of all monsters within the Black Knight Catacombs.
