The black bead is a bead used in the Imp Catcher quest. It is a drop from imps and must be returned to Wizard Mizgog in the Wizards' Tower along with a white bead, red bead, and yellow bead to finish the quest.
Beads are used as optional bait in the box catching of imps.
The bead can also be obtained as a junk drop from Yama if you contributed less than 15% to the kill.
