The binding book is an integral part of the Legends' Quest. It contains information on demons and can also create enchanted vials, which are required to make holy water. During the quest, the book is used on Ungadulu when he is possessed to release him from Nezikchened's control.
To get the book, go into the mossy rock and make sure you have the "SMELL" runes: 1 soul rune, 1 mind rune, 1 earth rune, and 2 law runes. In addition, bring a cut sapphire, emerald, ruby, diamond, red topaz, jade, and opal to place onto certain spots in the cave. For more details, please see this section on the quest guide. If the book is lost during the quest, it can be re-obtained by bringing another set of gems to the cave and repeating the process.
To enchant vials, use the 'Enchant-Vials' option by right-clicking on the book. This process temporarily drains Magic and Prayer, both of which players need to keep at level 10 or higher for the enchantment to work. Players can then pour pure water from a golden bowl into the enchanted vials to make holy water, which will weaken demons (namely Nezikchened) in combat.
After doing the quest, this book can be found in the bookcase in your house. It can also be re-obtained by bringing the required gems and solving the puzzle, again.

- Trying to place gems on a carved rock while holding the binding book will not allow the player to place them and will yield the messages, "You carefully move the gem closer to the rock.", "Nothing seems to happen...", "The 'Book of Binding' seems to vibrate in your inventory."
