Barronite rocks are found in the Ruins of Camdozaal that contain barronite shards and have a small chance of giving a barronite deposit when mined. The Varrock platebody does not give a chance of receiving double deposits.

Rocks deplete 20 seconds after they start being being mined, and produce either barronite shards or a barronite deposit on every successful mining attempt. Receiving a deposit grants twice the experience of receiving shards.

The probability to succeed on a given mining attempt scales with Mining level according to the figure below,^[1] and can be permanently increased by 10% by activating the Charm of Mining.

Pre-roll

The mining gem drop table has a 1/256 chance to roll on every mining attempt;^[2] if the player is wearing a charged amulet of glory, amulet of glory (t), or amulet of eternal glory, the probability increases to 1/64.2.^[3]^[4] If the table successfully rolls, the player may receive an uncut gem or nothing, and in either case can not receive an ore.^[5] This neither depletes the rock nor grants Mining experience. The rates shown are for every mining attempt.

Equipment

Celestial rings and signets provide an invisible +4 boost to Mining level, regardless of charges.
Prospector kit boosts Mining experience by 2.5%.
Amulet of glory increases the chance of obtaining gems when charged.
Mining gloves, Mining capes, Varrock armour, and charged celestial rings do not provide any chance to receive extra resources.

Changes

15 March 2023 (Update \| poll)	The object has been renamed from "Rocks" to "Barronite rocks". The "Prospect" option was removed.
21 September 2022 (Update)	An audio cue has been added to indicate the depletion of Barronite veins.
16 April 2021 (Update)	Hotfix Mining experience gained from obtaining a Barronite deposit increased from 24 to 32. Mining experience gained from obtaining Barronite shards increased from 12 to 16. The chance of successfully mining Barronite at high Mining levels has been decreased, but the chance at low Mining levels has been increased. The extra chance of success afforded by the Charm of Mining has been increased from 5% to 10%.
15 April 2021 (Update)	Hotfix The base chance of getting a Barronite deposit increased from 3% to 24%. Mining experience gained from obtaining a Barronite deposit reduced to 24 from 250. Mining experience gained from obtaining Barronite shards reduced to 12 from 25. The Charm of Mining now gives an extra 5% chance of success when mining, rather than 5% additional deposits.
