Willow trees can be grown by members with level 30 Farming. Players may plant a willow seed into a plant pot with a gardening trowel to get a willow seedling, after using a watering can to water the seedling, players will have to wait until it grows into an willow sapling (seedlings can still grow if banked).
Willow saplings can then be planted in a tree patch, granting 1481.3 experience upon reaching full growth. A payment of a full basket of apples can be paid to a nearby Gardener to watch over willow trees. If buying the willow seed and apples on the Grand Exchange, it will cost around 648 per tree, assuming one pays a gardener.
Unlike trees found naturally, grown Willow trees have a 1/8 chance to be depleted per log cut.
^The planting experience is awarded upon checking the health or fully harvesting the patch, or upon clearing the patch if it died before becoming fully grown.
^Requires pruning with secateurs to obtain the branches. Branches refresh every 5 minutes to a max of 6. If the tree is chopped to a stump, this resets the number of branches to zero.
