Settlement Ruins

The Settlement Ruins are a village found south-west of the Wintertodt Camp in the Northern Tundras. The northern entrance is guarded by aggressive level-132 ice wolves, while the settlement itself is inhabited by ice giants and ice spiders. The southern entrance can be accessed north of the Tower of Magic.

From the appearance of the settlement and the frozen warriors found there, it is assumed the settlement was destroyed after the Wintertodt ravaged Great Kourend during the Long Winter 1,400 years ago.

Note that this is a multicombat area, and can be threatening for lower level players. Be prepared to be attacked by the Level 53 Ice Giants and level 61 Ice Spiders.

• Fairy ring CIS and head west up the mountain to the southern entrance.
• Games necklace to the Wintertodt Camp and head south-west down the path to the northern entrance.

The south entrance route via fairy ring is recommended, to avoid spending a games necklace charge and also to avoid the ice wolves.

• A lone standing stone, identical to one of the standing stones that can be found north of Falador, can be seen overlooking the village on a hill to the south-east.
• North of the settlement, there is a mysterious purple symbol on the ground, which vaguely resembles that of Zaros. Its origins, and its relation to the area around it, remain unknown.
