The Scarab Swarm is summoned by the Champion of Scabaras during Beneath Cursed Sands. He spawns them after exclaiming: The children of Scabaras are eternal!. They are very similar to the standard Scarab Swarm, but unlike the regular variant, they leave behind a trail of black flames, which hurt the player if they run across them. It is recommended to kill them as quickly as possible, when the Champion of Scabaras spawn them, as they make running around the chamber more difficult and dangerous. The flame trail will linger for a while, but will disappear before the Champion summons a new swarm.
