The red cog is a quest item used only in Clock Tower. It is found in a room with three ogres in the Clock Tower's basement.
It is used to repair the northern red clock spindle on the ground floor[UK]1st floor[US].
Duplicates can be acquired by picking up another one after putting the first cog on the clock spindle and before completing the quest. Once the quest is completed, the cog can not be picked up from the spawn or if the duplicate is dropped.
