A portrait of a vampyre can be found in Meiyerditch. The Large ornate key is hidden behind the painting, and it must therefore be slashed open using a knife in order to access the key, which is required to access the Meiyerditch Laboratories during the Darkness of Hallowvale quest. An identical looking portrait can be found in Slepe.
If the player tries to use a knife on the portrait before reading the message from the fireplace, they will see the message You have no good reason to slash this wonderful looking painting.
