Moonlight grubs are items collected from grubby saplings found within the Earthbound and Streambound Caverns in Neypotzli. During Perilous Moons, players must collect one and use a pestle and mortar on it to obtain moonlight grub paste.
When leaving Neypotzli, this item is removed from the player's inventory with the message: The resources from Neypotzli fizzle to dust as they are severed from its magic.
This item is used as the icon for moonlight potions on the in-game Herblore skill guide, despite the uncrushed grubs not being a reagent for the potion.
