Ghostly robes

Ghostly robes are a members-only set of magic armour that makes the wearer translucent, which can be obtained by speaking to various ghosts throughout Gielinor after a player has a ring of visibility from Desert Treasure I.

Speaking to the ghosts will start a miniquest, the Curse of the Empty Lord, in which each ghost will tell you their story, direct you on to the next ghost, and give you a piece of the ghostly robes set. To talk to the ghosts, a player must be wearing a ring of visibility, which is obtained during the Desert Treasure I quest, as well as a ghostspeak amulet, which is obtained during The Restless Ghost quest. Many of the ghosts are found in the Wilderness; locations will vary for each player.

The full set of ghostly robes can be stored in a magic wardrobe in the costume room of a player-owned house, saving bank space when not in use. Multiple sets can be collected from the mysterious ghost for free, even if they are already stored in a bank, in the inventory, or currently equipped.

Once a ghost has been spoken to at the correct location, they can provide set pieces from all other ghosts that have been visited. After the miniquest, robes can also be reclaimed from Valdez at Glarial's Tomb, or by speaking to any of the individual ghosts at the location you originally found them.

Obtaining the robes is necessary to get the full amount of kudos from the Varrock museum, as well as a requirement for The General's Shadow and therefore Secrets of the North. For now the robes themselves are not needed after The General's Shadow.

• Valdez - Talk to him to start the miniquest. Gives the ghostly robe (top).
• Rennard - Gives the ghostly gloves.
• Kharrim - Gives the ghostly boots.
• Lennissa - Gives the ghostly robe (bottom).
• Dhalak - Gives the ghostly hood.
• Viggora - Gives the ghostly cloak.

• If you talk to Evil Dave while wearing full ghostly robes and have a hellcat follower, he will say "That outfit is TOTALLY EVIL! And you've got an evil cat too! To be honest I'm a little bit scared of you!"
• While wearing the ghostly robes and travelling through the desert on magic carpet, you can also see through the carpet at the part your character stands on.
• Particles are not visible through the ghostly robes.
