A furnace can be found in the south-easternmost building in Burgh de Rott. When first encountered by players during the In Aid of the Myreque quest, it is in a state of disrepair and non-functional. Cornelius will request that the player repairs the furnace for the town, first by using two steel bars and a hammer, followed by adding a piece of coal to fuel it, then finally lighting it with a tinderbox to make it functional. After which, the furnace acts like a normal furnace and can be used to smelt items.
A similar furnace can be found in the Slayer Tower basement.
