The drain is located outside the north-eastern corner of Varrock Palace's kitchen. During the Demon Slayer quest, the player must use a bucket of water on the drain in order to flush Sir Prysin's lost key in to the sewer below.
Searching the drain prior to flushing out the key results in the player mentioning that they can see a key inside the drain.
