Dagger

Daggers are one of the standard groups of metal weapons. Daggers are categorically stab swords which primarily use stab attack styles but also have an option for a slashing style.

Interestingly, despite presenting as melee-only weapons, daggers have a positive magic attack bonus.

Members have an advantage with daggers in that many can be poisoned. They can be tipped with weapon poison, weapon poison+, or weapon poison++, though they can not be poisoned with karambwan paste.

Scimitars and swords are generally stronger than daggers of their tier, and also attack at the same speed. Therefore they are preferred more by most players, especially when weapon poison does not matter.

The daggers that see the most use are often the dragon and abyssal daggers due to their highly damaging and accurate special attacks, for damaging monsters or securing kills in PvP combat; and the bone dagger for its defence-reducing special attack against certain bosses. There are alternatives that often (but not always) outclass these special attacks, but usually at a much higher cost.

Every dagger in the standard metal hierarchy can be poisoned.
