Daeyalt ore is a rare ore that can only be mined from daeyalt rocks by players with 20 Mining during and after the Darkness of Hallowvale quest. It cannot be smelted into a bar using the Smithing skill.
Daeyalt ore is found in the Meiyerditch mine in north-western Meiyerditch in the Sanguinesti region and in the Daeyalt essence mine in Darkmeyer. A player gets 3 ores from each rock wall.
If players are sent to the Meiyerditch mine by the Vyrewatch in Meiyerditch, they must mine 15 ores and place them in the mine cart, then ask a nearby vampyre juvinate to be released from the mine. This can be skipped by talking to the juvinate while wearing a vyre noble outfit, requiring partial completion of Sins of the Father.
Daeyalt has a high haemalchemy potential, which makes it a key component in the vampyrification process, as well as having the potential to create artifical blood.[1]

- ^ Sugadinti Vitur. Old School RuneScape. "With us having outlawed the practice of vampyrification, we have started using the labs to explore the creation of artificial blood instead. Curiously, we've already had some luck with daeyalt of all things. It seems that the very substance that is the key to making vampyres can also potentially contribute to feeding them. While it makes sense in many ways, it was also rather... unexpected."
