Crumble Undead is a spell on the standard spellbook, requiring level 39 Magic to cast and costing 2 air runes, 2 earth runes, and 1 chaos rune. This spell can only be cast on undead enemies, such as skeletons, zombies, ghosts and shades; trying to cast it a non-undead NPC yields the chatbox message: This spell only affects skeletons, zombies, ghosts and shades.

Crumble Undead can only be autocast by a skull sceptre (i), slayer's staff, slayer's staff (e), staff of the dead, toxic staff of the dead, staff of light, staff of balance, or void knight mace. In particular, the skull sceptre (i) is the only free-to-play weapon that can autocast this spell.

Crumble Undead costs 1 less earth rune than Earth Bolt by default, but can be outdone in damage by all Bolt spells in F2P, depending on magic level and the extent of the monster's elemental weakness; something very common amongst undead monsters. Further, the only method to autocast via the skull sceptre (i) means paying the full rune cost each time, making it inefficient to train with.

Despite requiring chaos runes, chaos gauntlets have no effect on this spell, as they only increase the max hit of Bolt spells.

Crumble Undead is highly useful for fighting Vorkath, as it is capable of instantly killing the zombified spawn it summons during the fight.

The spell is also cheap and convenient for killing the tree spirit in the Lost City quest from a safespot, as both the tree spirit and the zombies that need to be killed during the quest are susceptible to Crumble Undead.

Damage

Crumble undead has a max hit of 15, 18 when paired with the salve amulet (ei).
