The crude carving is a quest item used during Olaf's Quest. It is made by Olaf Hradson when the player presents him with some windswept logs from the windswept tree near where Olaf is. The player must then take this carving and a cruder carving to Olaf's wife and son, respectively, in Rellekka.
Trivia
- In order to convince Ingrid it has come from a distant land, the player refers to the carving as an Obscurian Tribal Artefact(tm) from the Island of Obscurity with "a million-and-one uses." In actuality, it is a crude carving on a log that says, "Olaf was here."
