The circlet of water is an item obtained from Maisa as a reward for completing the quest Beneath Cursed Sands. Wearing it will delay the onset of desert heat by 12 seconds.
The circlet, which acts as an equipable waterskin, is charged with five water runes per charge, and can hold up to 500,000 charges. One charge is consumed whenever the player would have needed to drink water due to the effects of desert heat. The circlet can be uncharged to regain the runes. The circlet must be equipped in order for the effects to work.
The maximum time between drinks is 132 seconds (costing 28 charges per hour).
If lost, it can be reclaimed from the High Priest of Sophanem for 10,000 coins. Additionally, if the free one was not received due to a full inventory at the end of the quest and Into the Tombs has been started, it can be claimed from the High Priest.
The desert amulet 4, which requires completion of the elite Desert Diary, also provides 100% protection against desert heat when worn but doesn't require upkeep.

Charging
The circlet must be charged with water runes to activate it, holding up to 500,000 charges when fully charged. Players can configure the charges while the circlet is in their bank by right-clicking on Configure-Charges, as long as players have the required materials. If the circlet is uncharged in the bank then the option is unavailable, it requires at least one charge for the option to appear. One charge is consumed each time the player would have needed to drink water. When the circlet's effect is activated, the message Your circlet protects you from the desert heat. will be displayed. Trivia
- The circlet of water is based on the enchanted water tiara in RuneScape which has the exact same function. Unlike in Old School RuneScape, it is possible to make the item after completing the Dealing with Scabaras quest by using water runes on a normal water tiara.
