The broken shield is one of the two halves of the restored Shield of Arrav.
In the Shield of Arrav quest, the player must combine both parts of the broken shield to get the complete shield. One player must join the Black Arm Gang and retrieve the right half from a cupboard upstairs in the base. The other player must be in the Phoenix Gang and must get the left half from the chest in the underground base.

Trivia
- In RuneScape Classic, the icon on the shield was a pegasus as confirmed in the Shield of Arrav book.[1] This icon was graphically updated when the game transitioned to RuneScape 2.
