Bleed

Source revision 15248514 · Saved 2026-09-27 · Sources & credits

A player taking damage over time from bleeding.

Bleed is a temporary status effect that causes the player to lose a set amount of hitpoints over a short time. Players who are bleeding will be dealt three hitpoints of damage every three ticks.

  • Bleed inflicted by custodian stalkers causes the player to lose 9 Hitpoints over 9 seconds (15 ticks). However, if the player is moving, they will take damage every tick.
  • Bleed inflicted by Vardorvis causes the player to lose 15 hitpoints over 8.4 seconds (14 ticks) if the player is standing still. However, if the player is moving, they will take damage every tick, causing them to lose a total of 42 hitpoints instead.

Currently, Vardorvis, the Emissary Enforcer, custodian stalkers (including strange creatures, their quest variant), and sanguidae are capable of inflicting bleed on players. However, Zebak's melee attack uses a similar mechanic.

Bleed can be cured by applying a haemostatic dressing, which also heals 5 Hitpoints.
