Black Eye Bethel is a pirate captain fought during the quest The Red Reef. After all of the surrounding pirates are defeated on the Last Light, the player can find her at the top of the lighthouse.
Strategy
- Attacks with melee only so can use the Protect from Melee prayer but note in the latter stages of the fight it can be disabled.
- Step out of the way when she charges up an attack. Her attack will still hit you even if you're several tiles back; instead you must stand to the left or right of the row of tiles she's facing. You'll know she's charging up when the tile she stands on turns blue, and she says Dodge this!.
- Upon reaching below 70% health, she will switch to a rune scimitar, which increases her max hit but decreases her accuracy and defence.
- Upon reaching below 40% health, she will switch to a dragon scimitar, which increases her max hit further but decreases her accuracy and defence further.
- While wielding the dragon scimitar, she can use its special attack to disable your protection prayers.
Trivia
- If you fight her using a dragon scimitar she will say Nice scimitar! I've got one too! when she switches to her final phase.
