Bind is a level 20 Magic spell located in the Standard spellbook. Casting bind on an opponent will prevent it from moving for 8 ticks (4.8 seconds). When used on a player and the bind is about to wear off, the bound player will receive this message in their chatbox: The holding effect is beginning to fade. Players can increase the binding duration by equipping swampbark armour; the helm, body, and legs will increase the duration by 2 ticks (1.2 seconds) each, up to a maximum of 14 ticks (8.4 seconds).

Bind gives 31 Magic experience if it successfully hits the target, or 30 experience if it splashes. It requires two nature, three earth, and three water runes to be cast.

13 September 2023 (Update)	Bind now yields 31 Magic experience upon a successful cast.
21 June 2023 (Update \| poll)	The maximum Swampbark Armour set bonus for the Bind spell can now be achieved with just the helm, body and legs as opposed to the full set. Each outfit piece now increases the duration of the Bind spell by an additional tick, so the complete bonus increases the duration to 6 ticks.
11 January 2023 (Update)	An audio cue and message have been added to the Bind spell to tell the victims when the freeze is about to expire.
5 September 2019 (Update)	Protect from Magic no longer halves the duration of Bind.
