A causeway of interlocking basalt rocks form a series of Agility obstacles that can provide passage between the Barbarian Outpost and the lighthouse if successfully crossed. Players can access the causeway via one of the two entry points: either by jumping onto the southernmost basalt pillar from the beach, or by jumping onto the northernmost pillar from the rocky shore. Jumping between either of these two entry points and a basalt rock will not grant any experience, nor can either jump be failed.
When on the causeway however, successfully jumping from a basalt rock to another basalt rock will grant 2 Agility experience. It is possible to fail these jumps, in which case the player will slip off the causeway and fall into the water, before washing up on the closest shore. Failing to cross between two basalt rocks will still grant the player 0.5 experience, while also inflicting a moderate amount of damage (up to 10, regardless of Hitpoints level).

Success rate
It is not possible to fail the jump between the centremost basalt rocks, but jumping between two of any of the other basalt rocks can be failed, with the same success rate shown below shared between them.[1]
