The abyssal incantation is an item obtained during the quest Temple of the Eye, written down by the Dark Mage. This item should be taken to Wizard Persten north of Al Kharid who then goes on to recommend you take it to Archmage Sedridor in the Wizards' Tower.

Sedridor notes that the incantation is written on thin flesh rather than parchment; when speaking to Herbert after the quest, he tells players that it is most likely flesh from an abyssal creature.

• If the player loses the parchment after giving it to Wizard Persten but before delivering it to Sedridor, Persten provides a copy of the original. Despite this, Sedridor will still identify that the incantation is written on flesh rather than parchment.
