Silas

Silas is the former caretaker of the Fremennik Lighthouse. During his time as caretaker, he heard the sounds of dagannoth in the lighthouse's basement. He became convinced that the sounds meant that he had been chosen to join with them in the nearby Northern Ocean. As time went by, he grew distrustful and distant from the nearby Fremennik settlements, considering them unenlightened and interfering. His sleep pattern changed, favouring nocturnal activity in order to better serve the creatures he had become obsessed with. Eventually, he began wondering if he was a dagannoth in human skin and disappeared shortly afterwards, leaving his nephew Jossik to tend to the lighthouse.
