The granite tablet is an item obtained during The Curse of Arrav in the tunnels beneath Zemouregal's Fort, and is one of four tablets made by Lamistard, who dug the tunnels in an attempt to avoid being chosen as a sacrifice in the Mahjarrat's rituals.

Transcript
I have a cunning plan. I intend to dig some tunnels that will eventually lead directly under the stone, ensuring that this time I will be as close as possible. I have found the ideal site to start my work - an isolated mountainside reachable only via tunnel. No one will disturb me here.
