Father Urhney

Father Urhney is an irritable priest who lives as a hermit in the Lumbridge Swamp. Recently, he left Lumbridge to perform a full two-years meditation and retreat in his house in the swamp, with Father Aereck replacing his role at the church.

Father Urhney plays a role in The Restless Ghost, giving the player a Ghostspeak amulet, which is required to speak to the Restless ghost in Lumbridge. If the player loses the Ghostspeak amulet, even after the quest is done, he will provide the player with a new amulet.

He also played a role in the 2018 Halloween event, providing the player with the crypt key required to access the Rimmington church crypt. Later in event, he also provides the player with his clown outfit so they can use it to scare the Spirit of Fear, as he "seldom wears it" now that he is a hermit.

• Father Urhney's name (pronounced Ernie) is a reference to one half of the famous British comedy duo act Morecambe and Wise. Specifically Ernie Wise. They had a comedy sketch where Eric Morecambe (Father Aereck, found in Lumbridge) and Ernie Wise were both Monks. One sketch involved bell ringing which in The Restless Ghost, Father Urhney lets it be known that Father Aereck gets himself into lots of problems, "Yeah. For example, when we were trainee priests he kept on getting stuck up bell ropes."
• Every time Father Urhney interrupted by people asking for amulets or claiming they have come to repossess his house, he restarts his two years of meditation from the beginning. He suspects that the people bothering him are part of 'a bizarre conspiracy by some fiendish cult.'^[1]
