Count Check

Count Check is a man pretending to be a vampyre who can be found in the Lumbridge Graveyard, south of the church. He gives advice to players on how to secure their account, such as using a unique password and enabling two-step verification for their registered recovery email. He can also tell the player whether or not they have a Jagex Account, the Authenticator enabled, or if a Bank PIN is set up. If the player has set all of these up, he will award them with a one-time lamp.

As a random event, he will reward players with a lamp if all three security measures are enabled. Note, the Bank PIN requirement is waived for Ultimate Ironmen.

He also is able to teleport players to the entrance of the Stronghold of Security to learn more about account security, however, this can only be done once, and only if the player has never entered the Stronghold before.

• Count Check's name is a play on the term "account check".
• After completing Priest in Peril, the player can question if he really is a vampyre, wondering how he crossed the River Salve. Count Check will respond with dialogue saying, "I am certainly not just a role-playing enthusiast in a costume! Never question that!", heavily implying that he is not a real vampyre.
  • Count Check originally was a real vampyre who "left his Vampyre ways behind him" to inform players about account security. When his dialogue was updated to include Jagex Account information, the dialogue questioning him being a vampyre was added, likely to better respect the lore of the game.
• When asked to count, he used to say "free" instead of "three" to indicate that the authenticator is free to set up. This was changed upon his dialogue being updated to include information about Jagex Accounts.
• Count Check's dialogue is likely a reference to Count von Count on Sesame Street.
• His in-game model is a slightly recoloured Count Draynor.
