The basic shadow torch is an item used during Desert Treasure II - The Fallen Empire, where it is obtained by searching Ketla's workbench in her house in the Lassar Undercity's Residential District after giving her the basic shadow torch schematic.
It is used to destroy the shadow tentacles that block the entrances to various buildings in the Shadow Realm.
Once players give Ketla the superior shadow torch schematic, the torch will automatically be upgraded to a superior shadow torch.
