Ancient letter is a letter found in the western crate on the ground floor of the Forsaken Tower. It is addressed to High Priest Nistirio by Xamphur, Xeric's closest comrade, regarding the tower having useful artefacts for Xeric's forces. It is an optional item for the quest, The Forsaken Tower, and it can be obtained after completing the quest.

Cautious of prying eyes, our lord has instructed me to investigate possible new locations for our experiments. One of the locations I have looked at is Dinh's Redoubt. While it has potential, the tower is too small for our needs. However, Dinh has left behind many useful pieces of equipment. I will have them transported to you at Quidamortem at once. Make sure they are kept safe.
